Entry Formalities in Uganda
Visas are issued at Ugandan Missions abroad and also at entry and exit points. Visa fees: Student – US$20 | single entry – US$50 |multiple entry for 6months – US$80 | multiple entry for 1year – US$160 |inland transit – US$15.
Most non African Passport holders visiting Uganda require Visas.
A yellow fever certificate is required if coming from an infected area but is rarely asked for.
For a visa extension one has to write a letter to the immigrations office explaining the reason for the request to stay plus all the details of when you’ll be planning to leave, where you’ll be staying and other required information. Attached should be a passport copy and the plane ticket if you have one. Your stay can be extended for 3 months with no charge if the right procedure for applying is followed.
